Dr Owen Bradfield is a qualified medical practitioner and health lawyer, having graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and a Bachelor of Laws double degree with First Class Honours. With over 10 years’ experience in medical indemnity, Owen combines his role at MIPS with academic research at the University of Melbourne, where he examines the intersection between doctors’ wellbeing and medico-legal claims, complaints, and disciplinary processes. Owen brings both clinical and strategic leadership to the delivery of our membership benefits, including education, member advocacy, and risk management services. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and was a 2020 Fulbright Future Scholar at Stanford University in California.
